Ma cosa si intende quando parliamo di gadget multi-brand? Quando pensiamo agli oggetti promozionali con potenzialità multi-brand, cerchiamo una risposta di advertising adatta alle realtà aziendali più complesse, quelle costituite da un ventaglio di marchi, talvolta davvero molto ampio, che l’azienda posiziona individualmente per poter penetrare segmenti diversi di mercato. I modelli multi-brand di due colossi: FedEx e Nestle Progettato da Lindon Leader nel 1994, il modello multibrand di FedEx prevede un solo Company Brand suddiviso in linee di prodotto diverse

Nestlé invece, il più grande gruppo food&beverage al mondo, detiene 2000 brand, suddivisi in più mercati. Il Corporate Brand di Nestlé include diversi Family Brand (dall’acqua in bottiglia al baby foods, dai cereali al caffè etc.) suddivise ancora in brand di prodotto (ad es. Nescafè).

Riassumendo la struttura di un brand multi-marca:

Corporate o company brand (il nome dell’impresa “ombrello”)
Family brand (utilizzato per indicare più di una categoria di prodotti) o brand di linea di prodotto (limitato a una sola categoria di prodotti)
Brand di prodotto
Modificatore (articolo, variante di prodotto)
