Recycled paper is an eco-friendly product: manufacturers recover previously used paper to create new paper. The recycling process significantly reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills. There, decomposing paper would contribute to methane production. Manufacturers use recycled paper to make a wide range of products. These include cartons, newspapers, and other stationery and office items. We highly recommend choosing recycled paper made from post-consumer materials, as close to 100% as possible. This means manufacturers make the paper entirely from paper waste. This sustainable choice helps safeguard the environment and conserve natural resources. Using recycled paper reduces environmental impact and supports a circular economy. It also promotes a culture of environmental responsibility and conscious resource use.

On the other hand, an ethical purchase focuses on fair and responsible business practices, which can include respecting workers’ rights, supporting local communities, and ensuring transparency in the supply chain. Ethical purchases aim to ensure that the product has been made under fair and sustainable conditions for the people involved in its production.
A product may be environmentally friendly without necessarily adhering to ethical standards.
A product can be eco-friendly without necessarily being ethical. This is often the case for items imported from distant countries with less stringent environmental regulations than those in Europe and Italy. In our production, we apply this concept as follows:
  1. Eco-Friendly Items: We make our post-it cubes from adhesive paper, using a water-based adhesive and non-toxic water-based inks. This approach reduces environmental impact. FSC® certification adds assurance regarding both materials and the protection of populations living near the managed forests.
  2. Ethically Produced Items: The production processes of our paper cubes comply with labour regulations, promote employee well-being, and protect the local community around the Arcore (MB, Italy) facility.
  3. Our supply chain also follows FSC®-certified sustainability principles. Proramillenote is committed to supplying only FSC® Recycled paper and FSC® paper for post-it notes by the first quarter of 2025.
